Under Irish fire safety legislation and insurance underwriting mandates, all commercial, industrial, educational, and public premises must install and maintain emergency lighting compliant with I.S. 3217:2013 + A1:2017.

• System Design & Photometric Layouts: Calculation of escape route lighting (min 1 lux) and open anti-panic areas (min 0.5 lux) using self-contained or addressable LED fittings.
• Quarterly Inspections & Functional Testing: Mandatory 30-minute operational tests simulating mains power loss, checking luminaire operation and cleanliness.
• Annual 3-Hour Discharge Test & Certification: Complete 3-hour battery duration tests with full issuance of formal NSAI I.S. 3217 Annual Certificates.
• Logbook Provision & Maintenance: On-site physical and digital compliance logbooks ready for inspection by Dublin Fire Brigade officers.
